“We are one of the only places in the state and the region where we are able to do a bypass that will take an artery from the scalp and hook it up to an artery in the brain,” says Dr. Ali Krisht, internally-known neurosurgeon and leader of the institute. “This is a very delicate operation that you have to have enough experience, and you have to train on it. We have a laboratory where we train on a regular basis.”
