Erma Rogers, a licensed cosmetologist, has been volunteering for more than 20 years for CHI St. Vincent’s New Outlook cancer recovery program. New Outlook provides wigs, scarves, caps, makeup and other support to cancer patients.

As a cosmetologist, she provides an essential service to New Outlook: She can perform tasks such as trimming wigs and shaving heads. However, perhaps Erma’s most important service is her kindness and compassion to the hundreds of cancer patients she has assisted throughout her two-decade volunteer efforts.

In 2016, Erma won the American Cancer Society’s Sunshine Award for her loyalty and dedication to helping cancer patients improve their lives.
