With session number 19 in the works, Donald Riddling understands how beneficial hyperbaric oxygen treatments are. For two hours, five days a week, he sits inside the chamber to help heal a chronic diabetic ulcer that almost amputated his leg.

The hyperbaric oxygen chamber works by providing 100 percent oxygen directly into the body's cells, helping wounds heal more quickly.

The Wound Care Center Medical Director, Dr. David Dean, oversees the hyperbaric oxygen treatments at the CHI St. Vincent Wound Care Center in Little Rock and has seen the need for the treatments increase across different medical services as physicians learn about its healing capabilities.
