CHI St. Vincent Cardiologist Dr. Randy Jordan to Retire After Nearly 40 Years of Service to Central Arkansas Patients

CHI St. Vincent, a leading regional health network serving Central and Southwest Arkansas, announces the retirement of long-time cardiologist Dr. Randy Jordan, who has served patients in Central Arkansas for more than 38 years. Jordan spent a large portion of his career at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic. His last day serving patients will be Aug. 6.

Jordan served countless patients during his impressive career. He was Chief Medical Officer of the CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute from 2012-2021 and President of Heart Clinic Arkansas, a private practice group, from 2004-2011.

He also received numerous honors and awards. He was a recipient of the Worthen-Cornett Award by the Arkansas affiliate of the American Heart Association. He served as a governor of Arkansas for the American College of Cardiology and president of the Arkansas Affiliate of the American Heart Association. He was previously the chief of cardiology at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Jordan dedicated himself to the advancement of cardiology. He published several studies on congestive heart failure, angina and hypertension. He was a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, and the American College of Chest Physicians.

He is a graduate of Northwestern University and attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at UAMS and is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
