Residency Program Director: Brandy Hopkins, Pharm.D. BCCP

Brandy Hopkins

Dr. Brandy Hopkins is honored to serve as the Pharmacy Residency Program Director and Medication Safety Officer at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary. She was born and raised near the Buffalo River in Jasper, Arkansas. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arkansas Tech University, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – College of Pharmacy in 2007. Shortly after, she began her career at CHI St. Vincent as a clinical pharmacist. During her eight years as a clinical pharmacist, she most enjoyed her time spent in CCU, as cardiology is her professional passion. Brandy led efforts to pilot a Medication History Program in 2015 to improve the Medication Reconciliation Process on admission. This program optimized medication history documentation by utilizing pharmacist trained, medication history technicians to collect medication histories at the time of hospital admission. Brandy served as the Pharmacist Team Lead for that program and was subsequently named the recipient of the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists’ (AAHP) Clinician of the Year Award in 2015 for her success in this project. After the Pharmacy Residency Program was established, Dr. Hopkins was chosen to lead the program on our successful journey to ASHP Accreditation.  Brandy is an active member in ASHP, the Arkansas Pharmacists Association (APA), AAHP, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and ISMP’s Medication Safety Officers Society (MSOS).  Dr. Hopkins serves as the Chairperson for the AAHP New Practitioner, Resident, and Student (NRS) Council. As the Medication Safety Officer for CHI St. Vincent, Brandy coordinates the Medication Safety Committee for Infirmary, North, and Morrilton. In March of 2018, she completed the ASHP/ISMP Medication Safety Certificate Program and in July 2020, Dr. Hopkins became the first pharmacist in Arkansas to be board certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) as a cardiology pharmacist.  In addition to her role as RPD and mentor to the residents, Dr. Hopkins precepts the Medication Safety longitudinal learning experience. She lives in Conway with her husband (Nathan) her two children (Lily and Eli), and her papillon puppy (Pepper).


Chad Krebs

Pharmacy Clinical Manager: Chad Krebs, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPS

Dr. Chad Krebs completed his pre-pharmacy coursework at Arkansas Tech University, prior to obtaining his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – College of Pharmacy in 2006. In 2012, Dr. Krebs became board certified in Pharmacotherapy.  Dr. Krebs joined the CHI St. Vincent team in 2016 as the Pharmacy Clinical Manager. He then completed his Masters of Business Administration from Sullivan University in Lexington, KY in 2017.  He currently assists in coordinating the pharmacy’s clinical services with other departments and the medical staff. He serves as facilitator of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee as well as the P&T Committee. Dr. Krebs is active in ASHP, APA, and AAHP and was recently elected to a 3-year term as AAHP's Board Member at Large.  In October 2019, Dr. Krebs was named Manager of the Year by the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists.  He currently serves as the preceptor for the Pharmacy Administration and Antimicrobial Stewardship Longitudinal Learning Experiences.  Chad lives in Alexander with his two children, Afton and Linley.

 

Katie Cummins, PharmD BCCCPKatie Cummins, PharmD BCCCP
Dr. Cummins grew up in Batesville, AR. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University
of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - College of Pharmacy in 2019. She went on to complete a
PGY1 residency at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She worked as an ED
pharmacist overnight for two years prior to accepting a position as the ED pharmacy team lead
at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in 2023. She currently serves as the primary preceptor for the Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medicine II learning experiences. When not at work, Katie enjoys reading, traveling, and attending concerts with her fiancé, family, and friends.

 

Ashley BizzellAshley Bell, Pharm.D., BCCP

Dr. Ashley Bell completed her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Central Arkansas in 2014 and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Pharmacy in 2018. She then went on to complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residency in Cardiology at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas in 2020.  After completing her post-graduate training, Ashley joined CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock as a clinical pharmacist and preceptor.  Two years later, Ashley transitioned into the Cardiovascular Clinical Pharmacist Specialist focusing on patients with Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. As a Board Certified Cardiology Pharmacist, Dr. Bell is the primary preceptor for one of the Advanced Cardiology learning experiences. She actively participates in a variety of research projects involving anticoagulation including comparing fixed- versus variable-dosing of prothrombin complex concentrate for reversal of warfarin therapy, the evaluation of DOACS and therapeutic enoxaparin in obese patients, anticoagulation use in NVAF, and the evaluation of therapeutic enoxaparin in patients with significant renal impairment. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys traveling, exercising, reading, and spending time with family.


Christine Creekmore

Christine Creekmore, Pharm.D., BCPS

Dr. Christine Creekmore completed her pre-pharmacy coursework at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR where she majored in Biochemistry. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - College of Pharmacy in 2011. She then completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2012. She joined the team at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary as a clinical pharmacist immediately after her residency. She currently serves as the co-preceptor for the Internal Medicine learning experience. Outside of work, Christine enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling.

George Gann, Pharm.D.

Dr. George Gann obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College in 1981. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences degree in 1984 and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1996 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – College of Pharmacy. He has practiced pharmacy at CHI St Vincent Infirmary for 36 years. He currently works as a clinical pharmacist and precepts Critical Care and IV Nutrition learning experiences. When George is not at the hospital, he enjoys volunteering at his church, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

 

JaymeJayme Holland, Pharm.D. BCPS

Dr. Jayme Holland is a 2020 graduate of The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences- College of Pharmacy. She is from Sherwood, AR and attended undergrad at the University of Arkansas before pharmacy school. Jayme joined CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in June 2020 as a PGY1 pharmacy resident and transitioned into a clinical pharmacist’s role following completion of her residency. She currently precepts Cardiology and Critical Care.  During her free time, Jayme enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching Grey’s Anatomy, playing with her goldendoodle puppies, reading, and vacationing in Disney World. 

 

Claire LieblongK. Claire Lieblong, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPS

Dr. K. Claire Lieblong is a native Arkansan. She completed her pre-pharmacy course work and received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, followed by her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – College of Pharmacy in 2008. She also completed her Masters of Business Administration from University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2008. In 2015, Dr. Lieblong became board certified in Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Lieblong joined the Arkansas Health Network (AHN)/CHI St. Vincent team in 2019 as the Population Health pharmacist.  She works with prescribers, patients, and AHN’s care management and analytics teams to analyze prescription use patterns and provide education on best practices, medication reconciliation, medication therapy management, formulary management, and conversion of brand name to generic drugs. She currently serves as the preceptor for the Managed Care/Population Health elective.  Claire lives in Little Rock with her three children, Nash, Vada, and Della.

 

KristynKristyn McKnight, Pharm.D.
Dr Kristyn McKnight grew up in Dallas, TX and initially earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. She worked as an ICU nurse in Texas and California before going back to school to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy. After completion of the PGY1 residency program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2022, she began working as a Clinical Pharmacist and preceptor at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary. Her primary interests are in critical care and emergency medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and two daughters, being outdoors, gardening, and baking.


Monal Patel, Pharm.D., BCIDP 

Monal Patel

Dr. Monal Patel was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University in 2011. She completed a combined pharmacy practice residency at Mayo Clinic Health System in 2012. Immediately following her residency, she accepted a clinical pharmacist position at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Eau Claire, WI, where she also served as a PGY1 residency preceptor. Dr. Patel came to CHI St Vincent Infirmary in 2014 as a clinical pharmacist. Dr. Patel transitioned into the Medication History Pharmacist Lead position in 2023.  She currently serves as the preceptor for the Orientation, Internal Medicine, and Antimicrobial Stewardship learning experiences.  Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children. 

 

NatalieNatalie Stirrup, Pharm.D.  BCPS
Dr. Natalie Stirrup was born in Dallas, Texas, but has lived in Arkansas since 2010 and claims it as her home. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at Harding University, she continued her education at Harding University College of Pharmacy, earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2021.  She went on to complete a PGY1 Residency and PGY2 Residency in Critical Care at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock Arkansas, finishing her training in 2023. Dr. Stirrup is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and is the primary preceptor for the Cardiovascular Critical Care rotation.  In her free time she enjoys traveling to the US National Parks, baking, volunteering at church, spending time with family and her husband, Dylan, and throwing the frisbee with her Australian shepherd, Remmy.

 

RebeccaRebecca Wahrmund, Pharm.D. BCPS
Dr. Wahrmund obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Microbiology from East Tennessee State University in 2017. She then earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in 2021. Rebecca completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare Center in 2022 and joined CHI St. Vincent Infirmary as a clinical pharmacist directly after completion of her residency. Rebecca is board certified in Pharmacotherapy and co-precepts the Internal Medicine rotation. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and being outdoors.
