The experience of cancer challenges a person in every conceivable way -- emotional and physical stamina, financial and employment security, relationships, and self image. Through the comprehensive services of New Outlook -- The Cancer Recovery Program
at CHI St. Vincent provides assistance in dealing with the effects of the disease and its treatment.
Staffed by trained professionals and volunteers, New Outlook offers the following services:
- Wigs and head scarves
- Support groups for cancer survivors and their families
- Information and referral services
- Navigation to supportive services
- Private professional counseling
Support groups:
Central Baptist Church - every third Monday Noon-1pm, North Little Rock
Lifeline Group - every third Thursday from 11am-Noon, Lifeline Baptist Church, Southwest Little Rock
Home for Healing - every first Thursday of the month from 5:30pm-6:30pm, 4300 W. Markham, Little Rock
Confidential And Professional
Most of the services of New Outlook are free. Some services are available by appointment only. All services are confidential and have been designed by a team of oncology professionals and women whose lives have been touched by cancer.
