HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Total Joint Replacement Program has officially earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement (THKR), making it the first organization in Hot Springs, Arkansas to earn that certification. The advanced certification recognizes the efforts made by CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs’ Orthopedics to continually elevate the quality, consistency and safety of their services and patient care.

The Joint Replacement Program at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs underwent a rigorous onsite review to evaluate compliance with advanced disease-specific care standards and total hip and total knee replacement requirements, including orthopedic consultation and pre-operative, intraoperative and post-surgical orthopedic surgeon follow-up care. The advanced certification from The Joint Commission, one of the premier healthcare quality improvement and accrediting bodies in the nation, is awarded for a two-year period.
