Infirmary Ranked #1 Hospital in Arkansas by U.S. News and World Report for the 4th Year in a Row
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Aug. 23, 2016) -- CHI St. Vincent Infirmary is ranked the number one hospital in Arkansas for the fourth year in a row by U.S. News & World Report’s (USN&WR) Best Regional Hospitals Rankings.
Since 2013, U.S. News has awarded its highest rankings to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary for Arkansas, central Arkansas and the Little Rock metro area. The annual U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings recognize hospitals that excel in treating patients with the most challenging medical conditions.
“Our team of medical professionals, caregivers and staff members deserve all of the credit for this exciting recognition,” said Polly Davenport, President, CHI St. Vincent Infirmary. “The employees at the Infirmary truly live our mission every day, offering our patients the best, most innovative care. This is truly an honor and we are thrilled to celebrate it with the entire team.”
In addition to being the top-performing hospital in Arkansas, CHI St. Vincent Infirmary was rated high-performing in seven adult procedures/conditions: Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement.
U.S. News publishes Best Hospitals to help guide patients who need a high level of care because they face particularly difficult surgery, a challenging condition or extra risk because of age or multiple health problems. Objective measures, such as patient survival and safety data, nurse staffing levels and other data, largely determine the rankings in most specialties.
Best Hospitals was produced by U.S. News with RTI International, a leading research organization based in Research Triangle Park, N.C. In an exclusive arrangement, the launch of this edition of Best Hospitals is being sponsored by Fidelity Investments.
