Renovated Oncology Unit Opens at Hot Springs
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (Feb. 17, 2017) – On February 23, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springswill open the newly renovated Patient Care/Oncology Unit on the 2 West wing. The space now offers a completely remodeled 30-bed nursing unit designed by nurses with patient and family needs in mind.
The Patient Care/Oncology Unit is the first of several unit renovations that will be undertaken with updates focused on improving the patient experience.
“Remodeling these units has given us an opportunity to rethink how our patients spend their time with us,” said Anthony Houston, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs president. “Our patients and their families are often going through trying times and deserve for their health care experience to be as positive as possible. These renovations, along with recently expanded oncology services, will allow us to provide exceptional comprehensive cancer care services to our community.”
The unit now has updated amenities such as improved function and flow for caregivers,
patients, families and visitors as well as updated nursing servers which allow for easy access of supplies needed for patient care. Other enhancements include an updated
décor and furniture that is modern and soothing for chronically ill patients and their
families.
